★What is "GAP" in agriculture?

Agricultural efforts that are "good" for consumers, producers, and the environment are called GAP.
GAP is an acronym for Good Agricultural Practices, which literally means "good agricultural efforts".

小さなことですが、対策をしています。

みかんを選別する作業場の照明には飛散防止カバーを取り付けています。
何かが原因で破損した場合に、出荷用ダンボールに破片
がに混入してしまっては大変なことになります。
また、従業員がケガをしてしまう可能性もあります。
事故が起こってからでは、遅いので未然防止しなければなりません。
お客様に陽だまりファームのみかんを選んでもらえるように環境整備をしています。

繋がる効果があります。

★農業の「GAP」ってなに？

消費者、生産者、環境にとって、「Good」な農業の取組のことをGAP（ギャップ）といいます。
GAPは、Good Agricultural Practicesの頭文字をとった言葉で、直訳すると「よい農業の取組」という意味ですが、
一般的には「農業生産工程管理」と呼ばれています。
GAP は、農業生産の各工程の実施、記録、点検及び評価を行うことによる持続的な改善活動であり、
食品の安全性向上、環境の保全、労働安全の確保等に資するとともに、農業経営の改善や効率化につながる取組です。

★GAP認証とは？

GAPの取組が正しく実施されていることを第三者機関の審査により、
確認・証明してもらうことをGAP認証といいます。
認証を受けることにより、持続可能な農業生産を行っていることが客観的に証明されます。

★GAPをすれば儲かる？

GAPに取り組むと他の農産物と差別化ができて高く売れるようになる かというと 、それはちょっと違います。
GAPは農産物 を 差別化するための 取組 ではなく、だれもが 農業 を 行う うえで 守るべき 規範 のようなも
のです。つまり、 GAP の 取組 を行うことによって作業手順の標準化や効率化が図 ら れ、さらに安全性が
確保され、そ の結果として よい農産物を作り出す こと につながります 。
